Examination Policy & Grading Rules
The performance of a student at the end of each semester is indicated in terms of Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA). Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is calculated to award overall academic distinction across all semesters.
Award of Class Criteria

| First Class with Distinction | 7.0 or more* |
| First Class | 6.0 or more but less than 7.0 |
| Second Class/Pass | 5.0 or more but less than 6.0 |
Malpractice Disciplinary System
Minor first-time offense (e.g., carrying notes but not using them)
Answer sheet cancelled (0 marks), warning letter, undertaking not to repeat the act.
Caught cheating (e.g., copying from notes or others, using a phone)
Exam in that subject cancelled (Fail), barred from appearing in the next attempt of the subject, parents informed.
Organized cheating, use of electronic devices to get help from outside
Entire examination cancelled (Fail in all subjects), debarred for one academic year, recommendation for FIR in serious cases.
Misbehavior with exam staff, threats, physical aggression
Immediate expulsion from exam, suspension as per disciplinary committee, legal action if necessary.
